Why I’m Running

I am honored and humbled to be on the November 5, 2019 ballot as the Democratic-endorsed candidate for the open Mason District seat on the Fairfax County School Board.

As a 23-year career educator, long-time Mason District resident, parent of two FCPS elementary school students, community volunteer, former Army National Guard Reservist, and first-generation American, I will use my background and experiences to serve as a strong advocate for students and teachers. I pledge to serve as a full-time school board member and I will volunteer in a different Mason District school each week.

I want to put Mason District students first today and in the future. With your support of my candidacy to serve on the Fairfax County School Board, I am confident that we can build on efforts to strengthen our schools because Strong Schools Build Strong Communities.
